Project Manager

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will be part of PMO and will be involved in several IT projects locally (Public Sector) and abroad (European Commission, SE Europe). Main responsibilities of the role are described bellow but are not limited to the following activities:

1. Manage the development and implementation of information systems to meet identified business and user needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality;
2. Set up and enforce the respect of organization, procedures and project office tasks, raising warnings in case of non-respect of these;
3. Assist with the planning and follow-up of the project and enforce the schedule and deliverable timetable;
4. Participate in the definition of the project vision and strategy, the planning, the cost estimations, the definition of tasks and deliverables, the definition of quality metrics and quality control measures, risk analysis and management;
5. Co-ordinate on administrative matters, clarifying issues and preventing potential problems;
6. Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports;
7. Assist in the follow up and co-ordination of technical matters, acting as a facilitator to converge all efforts towards the project objectives;
8. Review the quality and conformance of the technical deliverables (specification, software, documentation) and services;
9. Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings;

Candidate Profile

1. University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relative discipline in IT;
2. Post-Graduate Degree (Msc, MBA) will be considered a strong asset
3. Minimum 3-5 years experience in Project Management of information systems and application development projects, in complex IT projects in Greece or Abroad ;
4. Proven experience with project management methodologies and guidelines (e.g. Prince2, PMI-PMBOK, etc.);
5. Occupation of relevant project management certifications (Prince2, PMI) are highly desired
6. Knowledge of It Technologies (web,3-tier), Architectures (J2EE,.NET) and in SW development methodologies (SCRUM, RUP etc)
7. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
8. Excellent presentations skills, strong service and customer orientation, team abilities, time management efficiency
9. Able to perform under pressure and deliver results against highly challenging targets in a demanding environment that requires  task-orientation
10. Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
11. Availability to travel abroad according to project’s needs
